Are You Trapped in Your Crap by Care’n Mooney

Have you noticed that the relationship that you are currently in seems to be familiar? Have you noticed that you're overcompensating, and maybe you’re losing a small part of yourself in conversation, and maybe finding that you're losing your authenticity?
Perhaps the job you are in now and you began to recognize the personalities and the routines that were eerily like the job that you left and swore you would never go back to.
Perhaps we're in the loop and revisiting past dramas and traumas that we thought were a thing of the past.
I'm sure many of us have purchased all the right “how to fix yourself” books, done all the obvious self‑improvement, and maybe even changed the job or relationship hoping to release the old patterns.
Why is it that the old, unpleasant, self‑sabotaging crap has such a deep‑down resilience and a black hole that keeps creeping into our life trying to swallow us up?
We may really want to make the change and eagerly accept the challenge. However, when it begins to feel uncomfortable we are unwilling to really let go and do the heavy lifting that is required to move forward. We let the ball drop and again seek the familiar and the easier path.
I personally used to get A’s in procrastination, dropping back into the people‑pleasing, and being overcome with the simplest of decision‑making.
When I realized that I, and only I, was the one completely responsible for making changes in my life and that I first had to change my mind and change my heart.
Being a perfectly imperfect person, there are occasions when I may slip a little; however, I am very quick to recognize the pattern and make the desired adjustments.
When this happens, it can be a sign that it's time to go deeper, that this is a time to re‑examine and find out why it was so easy to again slide into the big, smelly pile of “unwanted clutter”.
You have not failed; you have been given a new perspective and a chance to clean at a deeper level.
If we pause and ask why at this particular time we are being reminded of moving into a loop, we can take a deeper look at the direction we're going.
If we move into our self‑love and again step into our authenticity, we are reminded that we have tools to help us recognize the root of the loop and to resolve it by moving into a higher frequency.
We can rise above this. We are not trapped. We can calm our inner being and again find clarity. This is part of the spiritual hygiene, and doing this on a regular basis will allow us to be in that higher frequency and become a radiant miracle that is waiting to shine.
If we are willing and allow ourselves to become present and to be in the now, we will find an inner strength that gives us the courage to continue on our path toward self‑mastery.
Meditation, mindfulness, and even taking a moment to be still bring us into a different energy that allows us to again reconnect with our divinity.
This is a tool that I give the children when I work with them. Stop, sit down and cross your legs, put your hand over your heart, take a deep breath and hold it, and slowly let it out. Do this 3 times and you take back your power, you take back your calm, and you can break the loop.
We are always free; we simply forget that this is part of our spiritual human divinity. And the little times that we step into the crap remind us of how wonderful it is to have broken the loop of being trapped in your crap.
Every Tuesday evening, I host a heart-centered meditation at my center in Mesa, Arizona, which I call the Open-Heart Meditation. During this session, I guide the group into the depths of our heart’s center, filling it with joy as we allow it to expand and vibrate faster and faster. Through this practice, we embrace our true essence as beings of light.
If you’re in the Phoenix or Mesa area, I warmly invite you to join us. Feel free to reach out and become part of our Open-Heart Meditation community.

I see you, I appreciate you, I honor you
