Chaos Creates Completion by Care’n Mooney

Chaos Creates Completion

Welcome to the beginning of the universe. Back to the chaos it took to create the stars, galaxies, and planet Gaia.

Just as we exist in the yin and yang, we use change as we release some of the old, the unnecessary but familiar shadows, the habits and belief systems that no longer allow us to blossom into our true, authentic selves.

When we know it's time to let go and break free of patterns that stifle our growth, we begin to feel unsettled, and we know it is time to stir things up. Sometimes, it may start as a nudge to see an old friend, who may suggest a book that leads to a class, which leads to a career change or a wonderful personal shift. Oh my, that sounds a lot like The Celestine Prophecy.

The world around us is always in motion, always changing. It moves in and out of chaos so new creation can begin, leading to the completion of a cycle. Life would never survive without the chaos of the suns, the chaos of the storms that bring the rain, or a mountain or island that would not be created without the chaos of an earthquake or volcano.

In our personal world, we venture into this life new and eager, with great expectations for this great adventure. We are given pleasure and pain, or chaos, to help prepare us for our place in the world. As we move through life, we pick up a lot of opinions and perceptions, some useful, some distrustful. As we grow and mature and begin to feel ourselves, we sort through and find out what we need to release and what we need to keep.

Our normal world can become shaky, unfamiliar, and sometimes very chaotic. Learning to recognize this as a wake-up call, we can move through this upheaval and realize we need to change, clear, heal, and rebuild, so we become stronger and more aware of our expression on Earth. We now reemerge into an amazing human awareness, reaching our highest potential. Embracing change instead of resisting or fighting it, or letting self-doubt, guilt, or punishment guide us with thoughts like “Why me?” “I should have done this,” or “It must be karma”, we allow this opportunity to embrace a new awareness and go with the flow and enjoy the show.

A caterpillar does not curse itself when it comes time to go into its cocoon. It has no awareness that it is not dying in this process, or what it will become. It lets the process proceed, and in the end, emerges a completely transformed butterfly.

Our own birth pushes us chaotically into the world and begins a process that is divinely guided and leads us into a wonderful new beginning.

Relationships are very hard, as they are filled with emotion and expectations. We often use them to measure our own worth and self-esteem by the outcome of the experience.

In nature, new growth and new beginnings can be caused by many things, floods, fires, volcanic eruptions, that change the landscape and allow a new environment to evolve.

Even the plants, when their roots run into a situation that is not healthy, move around it. They leave what is not healthy, what is toxic, and move to a place where they can survive and thrive.

As humans, we sometimes overstay, because of all our doubts and tribulations, and in the end, it leads to more and more pain for all parties.

I love how The Four Agreements can guide us when we are dealing with the humanness of our life.

As I am emerging and becoming again, it is a cyclical process: I find the norm, and then I merge to move again into something that encourages me to reach beyond myself.

When this occurs, I feel a stirring. I want to cleanse from the inside out. I want to clear everything around me. I eliminate things I don't use anymore. I begin to use this chaos, this stirring, to create balance and harmony, so I can be in a place of rebirth. So, when I emerge as this butterfly, my environment will be able to hold me as a butterfly.

This is a wonderful gift we are given, that we no longer have to stay stagnant. That we are not a block of stone. We are energy, movement, and motion. And we are here to bring this change into the dynamics of this incredible experience called life.

Several weeks in the summer, I would go up to the mountains to prepare myself to lead my meditation group. While I was up there, I received a phone call. It was a fireman, calmly telling me that my dad was okay and my dogs were okay—however, my house had burned down.

As we drove down the mountain, I said to my friend, “I guess I better get used to this outfit I'm wearing, because I don't have any clothes left.” When we got there, the fire was out, and what used to be the ceiling of my home was now laying on the floor, leaving a huge gap, letting in all the sunlight.

The blessing was that my friend, who I was with, her husband, was a contractor, and he was already there, looking at the remains of my home. For some reason, I remembered that months before, I had written on my mirror that Rocky, my friend’s husband, would build my castle for me and I would have all the new furniture and appliances.

I guess my number had come up in the universe. It looked at my request and said: “We want to build her healing center, but she has not told us where she wants it built. So, I guess we'll clear this land and start all over.”

It took a year to rebuild. But out of the chaos came a new building, twice the size of the original, and it was set up with a great room where I could give classes and hold my weekly meditation.

All that time, I never knew the name of my friend’s husband’s company. And how beautiful: his company name was Castle Builders, and I certainly did receive a castle.

Out of the chaos came the creation of my healing center, a place of peace, a sanctuary, a place of healing.

The most challenging thing we go through in life is to keep moving forward, like the butterfly, not knowing what lies ahead.

Every Tuesday evening, I host a heart-centered meditation at my center in Mesa, Arizona, which I call the Open-Heart Meditation. During this session, I guide the group into the depths of our heart’s center, filling it with joy as we allow it to expand and vibrate faster and faster. Through this practice, we embrace our true essence as beings of light.

If you’re in the Phoenix or Mesa area, I warmly invite you to join us. Feel free to reach out and become part of our Open-Heart Meditation community.
