Morning Dew

Dewdrops glisten on the grass,

A gentle reminder, this too shall pass.

Embrace the day with open heart,

Each morning brings a brand new start.

Morning Dew: Nature’s Gentle Reminder of Renewal

In the early hush of dawn, before the world fully wakes, a quiet miracle unfolds. Tiny beads of dew blanket the grass, catching the first rays of light like diamonds scattered by the hand of the night. These glistening dewdrops are more than just a meteorological phenomenon, they are nature’s poetry, whispering wisdom to those who pause to notice.

The lines capture the fleeting, yet profound beauty of morning dew. Each droplet, fragile and temporary, reflects a greater truth: that everything; joy, sorrow, challenge, or triumph, is part of a passing moment. Nothing stays the same forever, and therein lies both the comfort and the courage to begin anew.

Morning dew forms when the world is at its most still. It gathers overnight, unnoticed in the darkness, only to shimmer at sunrise and vanish as the day warms. Its existence is brief, yet it touches everything, blades of grass, petals, windowsills. In its quiet presence, it teaches us about the power of subtlety and impermanence.

The line “This too shall pass” is often invoked during times of hardship, but morning dew gives that phrase visual substance. The challenges we carry at dusk may seem lighter by dawn. Just as the dew evaporates, so too can our burdens, given time, warmth, and a willingness to move forward.

But the poem also invites us to “Embrace the day with open heart.” In other words, not just to survive but to live fully. Morning dew is a sign that even after the cold of night, beauty returns. It’s an invitation to greet the day with hope, curiosity, and openness. Each morning offers the opportunity to reset, to make new choices, and to step more fully into who we want to be.

In a world that often rushes toward the next big thing, the morning dew calls us to slow down and notice the small, significant wonders. It’s a lesson in mindfulness, in resilience, and in the quiet strength that comes from starting fresh, one sunrise, one breath, one dewdrop at a time.
