You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore. This quote, often attributed to Christopher Columbus, carries a timeless message about the nature of transformation and the bravery required to pursue a life of purpose. It speaks to the moment when we must choose between the comfort of the familiar and the promise of the unknown.
The shore is a symbol of safety. It represents the routines, relationships and beliefs that have shaped our lives thus far.
