Authenticity Meets Compliance, Striking the Balance in Everyday Life by Care’n Mooney

Authenticity Meets Compliance

What does it mean to be authentic? Becoming authentic begins with subtle changes in how we perceive life. Sometimes it is a feeling of not fitting in or feeling focused on something that does not feel familiar with our own being.

We start being mindful of why we are doing this, where we are getting the information from, and whether it truly fits for us.

This awareness makes it clear that change is coming.

As we strive to find our authentic selves, we find that we are drawn to focus on being true to ourselves and attempting to express our deepest truths. We begin to express our genuine selves.

We begin to use our insights and develop integrity that is guided by a deep love of self and humanity.

We set aside old beliefs that no longer serve us and other people's ideas on how we should live our lives.

Authenticity emphasizes accountability, reliability, consistency, and unconditional love.

Compliance, by its nature, is more about falling in line with the thinking of others. Blind compliance is following something without reason or understanding. Social compliance is an understanding that, as a society, certain guidelines have been set in order to find a rhythm of existence.

When the greatest part of society follows the beat of one drummer, sometimes being authentic means we march to a different beat. This can help society see a different perspective and possibly a more harmonious and balanced way of doing things.

As members of the human race, reasonable compliance in matters of law and order, business, and things of that nature at least gives humanity guidelines to follow.

Being true to oneself is the purest form of love; however, that does not mean expecting others to see things as you see them. Rather, it means respecting those around us and allowing them to be true to themselves.

When you are truly authentic, you will come from compassion, understanding, and will always be seeking a harmonious avenue in which to express yourself.

As aware humans, we understand that finding balance and harmony within ourselves gives us a calm, peaceful place from which to find our path, a way to be true to ourselves, and also live harmoniously in humanity.

When I am authentic with myself and developing my own beliefs and awareness of what I came to do, it is for my personal growth. It gives me a deeper understanding of where I fit in, and even though I have a different perception, I see what I need to do to be truly myself.

With this approach, we can come together in global compliance to balance and harmonize the world we live in. It gives us a gentler way to address what we call normal and accepting.

To be truly authentic, you are not coming from ego, expressing the attitude of "it's my way or no way." Rather, with understanding and love, we may be able to change some things that need to be changed and enhance other things that are for humanity's highest good.

Compliance and authenticity can go hand-in-hand and be applied for the greater good and the highest purpose for all humanity.

Every Tuesday evening, I host a heart-centered meditation at my center in Mesa, Arizona, which I call the Open-Heart Meditation. During this session, I guide the group into the depths of our heart’s center, filling it with joy as we allow it to expand and vibrate faster and faster. Through this practice, we embrace our true essence as beings of light.

If you’re in the Phoenix or Mesa area, I warmly invite you to join us. Feel free to reach out and become part of our Open-Heart Meditation community.
