Awakened to the New Dawn
Awakened to the new dawn,
The yesterday that was is gone.
Each day brings new energy,
A new arrival of limited possibility.
The energy has changed,
The strength of new perspectives brings hope,
To insistent and lingering thoughts,
Emotions and feelings
That dampens the prospect of this new light.
We cannot physically relive
The same day over and over
And over and over...
Wait a minute,
There was a movie
Where a man did manage
To relive the same day
and over and over...
Groundhog Day
Stepping Around the Path
It seems he stepped into the same path dozens of times before he realized he could step around it. He kept repeating his mistakes. He became depressed and frustrated, realizing that no matter what he did, the results were always the same.
I've heard, in medical terms, that doing the same things over and over while expecting different results only digs a deeper hole, intensifying our fears, guilt, and doubts, leading to more and more regret.
Everyone's behavior impacts those around them. We are not alone, even when we convince ourselves that how we feel is isolated.
How Do We Restart?
Recognize this is really about you. You are the star of this life. Everyone else is a supporting actor.
Ask yourself: What do I gain from this behavior? Is it designed to make me feel worthless, loved, guilty? Does it give me power? Does it keep me from finding my authentic self?
Am I willing to risk change, to face the unknown, the unfamiliar?
Will I like my new self?
What will happen to my old relationships?
Will I develop new friendships?
Will I find a new perspective If I choose to accept a new way of living?
How?
A great place to start is The Four Agreements:
Speak Impeccably
Don’t Take Things Personally
Don’t Make Assumptions
Always Do Your Best
I once met a Buddhist monk who was taken prisoner at 19. For ten years, he was tortured daily. Each day, when they came for him, He forgave them. That was his choice.
We choose, every moment, how we will be in this world. Our thoughts, emotions, and actions all lead us to this reality.
Sometimes, songs help, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” Or “The Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow” They can remind us not to step into the same hole again. The Celestine Prophecy teaches us to build and rely on our inner connection to Source, and to stay connected.
Every Tuesday evening, I host a heart-centered meditation at my center in Mesa, Arizona, which I call the Open-Heart Meditation. During this session, I guide the group into the depths of our heart’s center, filling it with joy as we allow it to expand and vibrate faster and faster. Through this practice, we embrace our true essence as beings of light.
If you’re in the Phoenix or Mesa area, I warmly invite you to join us. Feel free to reach out and become part of our Open-Heart Meditation community.

I see you, I appreciate you, I honor you
