How do you see yourself? How do you think others perceive you? These are interesting questions. What is it that allows us to stand out among the billions of people on this Earth?
One defining factor is our personality, yes, we are molded by our surroundings and caregivers, but personality is something uniquely ours from birth.
From our first breath, we begin to express who we are, seeking to make it known that we are different.
Years of experience will refine, add to, and subtract from our personality, yet what we are born with gives us clues about the person we will become.
I am sure you have heard parents say things like, oh, what a sweet baby! Or describe a child as stubborn, courageous, daring, bold, fearless, or even shy. Even at an early age, we reveal to the world a glimpse of our individuality, our personality.
But what guides that personality? Each person has the innate ability to develop integrity, empathy, and compassion.
Like our personality, these traits evolve over time, shaping our decision-making, deepening our understanding, and influencing our unique place in the world.
I truly believe that integrity is something we all come into the world with, it is either nurtured or discouraged.
I have often said that I was infused with a strong sense of integrity. It kept me out of trouble, but it also created some dilemmas. Take, for example, when I was six years old.
I knew I wanted a Butterfinger and decided to take one. I successfully stole it, but I was unable to enjoy it. My sense of integrity would not let me. I threw it away, unopened.
I may laugh about it now, but I realize that my strong moral compass kept me on the straight and narrow, reinforcing my unique personality.
As we grow older, we come to understand that some of the traits we have inherited from loved ones and our environment may not align with how we see ourselves.
When we embark on the journey of self-love, we begin to reconnect with our authentic selves.
Discovering something deep within ourselves, something that allows us to feel a genuine connection to our highest purpose, leads us to a place of self-care and self-awareness.
On that journey, the spark of uniqueness within us ignites, allowing our personality to evolve and guide us toward living a new and fulfilling life.
By letting integrity be our compass, we learn that being our true selves means taking accountability for our actions and considering the well-being of others.
In doing so, we experience joy, peace, and contentment.
When we start living authentically and with integrity, we realize that our personality is a powerful, successful, and courageous force, an unbreakable shield against the challenges of the world.
As we evolve into our super selves, we inspire others to step into their power and become the best versions of themselves.
We are heart, soul, and uniquely whole.
We are authentic, integrous individuals.
Look out, world, here we are.
I have to say, there must have been a grand plan at play when they assigned me my personality, witty, quick, impish, mischievous, curious, and far from saintly.
When I realized that I had come here to fulfill a purpose far greater than I had imagined, I asked, Surely, you are not talking about me? You made a mistake. I cannot hear you… there must be static on the line.
I was greeted with heavenly laughter and reassured: You are real and relatable, so you will be just fine in fulfilling what you came here to do.
I checked my contract, and sure enough, there it was, boldly written in black and white:
You will do it, and you will love it.
Our personalities are the vehicles that allow us to navigate through life. If we are blessed with integrity and have embraced our authentic selves, nothing can stop us.
Every Tuesday evening, I host a heart-centered meditation at my center in Mesa, Arizona, which I call the Open-Heart Meditation. During this session, I guide the group into the depths of our heart’s center, filling it with joy as we allow it to expand and vibrate faster and faster. Through this practice, we embrace our true essence as beings of light.
If you’re in the Phoenix or Mesa area, I warmly invite you to join us. Feel free to reach out and become part of our Open-Heart Meditation community.

I see you, I appreciate you, I honor you
